Planning Permission submitted for a new Community Hub in Sutton!

We have successfully submitted a Planning Application to Sutton Council on behalf of The Really Local Group, for a new venue in the heart of Sutton Town Centre.

The project is a partnership between The Really Local Group and Sutton Council, aimed at regenerating the town centre by providing an exciting new cultural destination. The project is supported by the government's Future High Streets Fund.

The venue will be created out of the former " Chicago Rock City " bar and " New York New York " night club, both of which closed in 2013, and will be another example of Wren Architecture & Design working in partnership with Really Local Group, in repurposing redundant commercial space into community hubs following the completion of Catford Mews, Catford (2019), The Biscuit Factory, Reading (2021) and The Ealing Project, Ealing which opened earlier this year. It will feature four cinema screens and a large flexible space with a bar for events, performances and meetings.

Work is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2023 and be complete by the end of the year.
