Wren at Moscow Urban Forum

The subject of the platform was the 'My Streets' programme delivered by KB Strelka in January of this year that is currently being implemented by Moscow City Hall under the leadership of Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov and which wil be complete in the centre of the city by the end of the autumn, transforming the public realm of Moscow for the pedestrian and creating opportunities for the the regenaration of commercial and cultural life in the city all year around. In 6 months the city is laying 65 hecatares of new pavements, squares and courtyards with integrated infrastructure for untilites and data. it is causing one summer of pain for the Muscovites but will be of benefit for generations to come.

Phil was also invited to participate in a walk around of the works on site on the Garden Ring at Nikitskiy Boulevard and the first phase of Tverskaya Stree. Phase two was the subject of the competition reported earlier in the month.
