Continuing our work in Russia with Strelka KB

Following on from our collaboration last year with Strelka KB in contributing to the design guidlines, 'My Streets' for the public realm of Moscow and further design guidelines for street food and retail in the city's parkland, we are collaborating with Strelka once again as part of an ambitious project to stimulate the diversification of the local economies of the so called 'monotowns', single industry towns and cities from the Soviet era, of which there are over 300 that are now in serious decline. Our input, some of which is illustrated below, has once again focussed on the provision of simple, easy to deliver guidelines for the improvement of the location, quality, presentation and layout of small retail and cafes, kiosks, markets and urban events.
